The Tennessee School Board Association (TSBA) recently recognized Springdale Elementary School as the New Construction Elementary School of the Year for Excellence in Architectural Design.

Kaatz, Binkley, Jones & Morris Architects as well as representatives from the Wilson County Board of Education attended the TSBA annual convention in order to accept the award.

RGA participated in this project as the General Contractor. “We are always proud to work on school construction projects in Wilson County,” said RGA president Craig Johnson. “KBJM did an outstanding job designing Springdale Elementary, and we are very pleased that their design was recognized with this award. We look forward to continuing our long-standing, positive relationship with the Wilson County School Board in the future,” said Craig Johnson.

Nominees who wished to be considered for an award within four categories were asked to submit details on the following criteria: cost efficiency, aesthetics, energy and environmentally conscious design, flexibility-expandability, and size and development of site.
